Nissan New Zealand has confirmed pricing and specifications for the all-new Y63 Patrol, with the four-grade range opening at $120,990 plus on-road costs.
That places the entry-level Patrol Ti just $2000 above the outgoing Y62, despite the new generation bringing a more powerful twin-turbo V6, nine-speed automatic transmission, new ladder-frame chassis and considerably more cabin technology.
The biggest news for off-road buyers is the arrival of the first New Zealand-market Patrol PRO-4X. Priced from $145,990 plus on-road costs, it combines the equipment of the Ti-L with Adaptive Air Suspension, all-terrain tyres, revised exterior protection and additional towing features.
Orders are open now, with the first customer deliveries expected in early 2027.
More power and 3700kg towing capacity
Every Y63 Patrol is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged petrol V6 from Nissan’s VR engine family. It produces 317kW and 700Nm, increases of 19kW and 140Nm over the naturally aspirated V8 used in the outgoing Y62.
Peak torque also arrives earlier in the rev range, while the previous seven-speed automatic has been replaced by a nine-speed transmission.
Although the loss of the V8 will undoubtedly disappoint some long-time Patrol fans, the new engine delivers approximately six percent more power and 25 percent more torque. Nissan has also equipped it with a scavenger oil pump designed to maintain lubrication on steep inclines and off-camber terrain.
The entire range receives full-time four-wheel drive, high- and low-range gearing, an electronic locking rear differential and eight drive and terrain modes. Braked towing capacity increases to 3700kg when fitted with a genuine Nissan towbar, with trailer blind-spot warning included across the range.
Underneath, the Patrol sits on an all-new ladder-frame chassis offering a claimed 40 percent improvement in torsional rigidity. Multi-link independent suspension remains, although the Y63 adopts electric power steering and introduces electronically controlled suspension systems on higher grades.
Patrol Ti starts from $120,990
The $120,990 Patrol Ti sits on 18-inch gunmetal alloy wheels and includes a full-size spare. Its standard equipment includes synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone climate control, ProPILOT driver assistance and Nissan’s 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor with an invisible bonnet view intended to show terrain beneath the front of the vehicle.
A widescreen Monolith display incorporates two 12.3-inch screens, while Google built-in, Google Gemini AI and NissanConnect connected services are included across the range. NissanConnect is complimentary for two years, after which an annual subscription fee will apply if the owner chooses to continue using it.
Priced from $136,490, the Ti-L moves to dual 14.3-inch displays, 20-inch wheels and Intelligent Dynamic Damping, which continuously adjusts the suspension damping to suit the conditions. It also gains a panoramic glass roof, head-up display, 12-speaker Klipsch audio system, power tailgate and a rotating 3D Around View Monitor.
PRO-4X targets off-road buyers
At $145,990 plus on-road costs, the new PRO-4X is based on the Ti-L but gains Adaptive Air Suspension paired with Intelligent Dynamic Damping.
The suspension can raise the Patrol to improve its approach, breakover and departure angles when travelling off-road. It lowers when the vehicle is placed in Park to make passenger access and loading easier, and automatically drops at speeds above 90km/h before raising again below 70km/h.
The PRO-4X also receives 20-inch black alloy wheels and all-terrain tyres, along with a unique front bumper fascia designed to improve the approach angle. Wider wheelarch mouldings, Lava Red exterior accents and a three-slot grille treatment help distinguish it from the more road-focused grades.
While the arrival of a factory off-road Patrol is significant, the decision to fit 20-inch wheels may still leave serious off-road owners looking towards smaller aftermarket wheel and tyre packages.
Inside, the PRO-4X gains heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, centre-console cool box and Nissan’s Biometric Cooling system. Trailer docking support and an integrated electric trailer brake controller are also standard.

Ti-L Reserve tops the range
The flagship Ti-L Reserve is priced from $150,490 plus on-road costs. It shares the PRO-4X’s Adaptive Air Suspension but moves to 22-inch step-machined alloy wheels and takes a more luxury-focused approach.
Standard equipment includes genuine leather-accented upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, massage functions for the driver and front passenger, multi-colour ambient lighting and dual 12.8-inch rear entertainment screens.
All four Patrol grades retain three rows of seating and accommodation for up to eight adults. Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats are fitted in the first and second rows, while selected grades feature quilted trim inspired by the Japanese craft of kumiko.
The Y63 is also covered by Nissan’s service-activated warranty programme, providing up to 10 years or 300,000km of warranty and roadside assistance when servicing is completed through authorised Nissan dealers. Scheduled servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, with the first five services priced at $599 each.
The all-new Nissan Patrol can be ordered through New Zealand Nissan dealers now. Full grade-by-grade specifications will be released closer to its early-2027 arrival, with the currently announced specifications remaining provisional.
